Purchased a special order shower door, was told it would be a week. in 3 days it'll be a month. I've contacted Seconds and surplus 10 times, each time being told they will find out and get back to me. I have got ZERO call backs. Their customer service, or should I say their LACK of customer service is astounding.

S&S gives the impression you can save money but what a nightmare to work with (Richardson location), even with their finance company which was a whole other story and should have been a sign to go elsewhere but like everything else we found with S&S, they don't care. Our order was placed for kitchen cabinets with her at the beginning of last Nov. Expecting a 3-4 week turnaround we were surprised to hear her say it would not be done until the week of Christmas. Our Contractor called S&S manager and we were told they would see what they could do to speed it up. Fine, even though we knew nothing would happen (and we were right). Right after Christmas, a call was made to find out where our cabinets were, she said it would be mid January and that she never told us it would be Dec, even though she told us and our contractor the same thing, just denials no apology and through the process never taking any responsibility. Eventually the cabinets came in and they were wrong. The one thing we told her we wanted was easy close cabinets and drawers, none were done correctly (she blamed our contractor stating he approved it, contractor never gave any such approval). One of the cabinets wasn't even close to a fit so our contractor had to recut and fix the cabinet we just paid for. They were not concerned and never was there an apology or an effort to correct their horrible customer service. In fact one of the frosted glass cabinets was scratched and they were to replace it, a month later we called to get a status and were told "Oh I forgot". Again no apologies or efforts to make amends. This was our first and last time using S&S. The cost would have been worth it for good service and a good product (which we got neither) but what little if any savings might have been made in using them was not worth the long frustrating process. Save yourself the frustration and don't do it.

If you want a place that you can find everything you need from tile to plumbing you've got to give these guys a look. I have been purchasing products from Seconds and Surplus for more than ten years. I have been completely satisfied with both the service and quality of the products purchased here. I gave up on the big box stores as soon as I found this place. They have everything you need. Tile, Wood, Plumbing fixtures, incredible cabinetry and more importantly the prices are 40% or more off of normal big box pricing. The sales people, management and designers are amazing and will help you every step of the way. I've never felt comfortable sending my customers to the big box stores, but I often send my clients to Seconds and Surplus as I know they'll be treated professionally. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

After spending quite some time trying decide on our granite project, we ended up at Seconds & Surplus at the suggestion of a friend. I ended up dealing with a personal coordinator who was super nice, helpful and knowledgeable. Michelle and I worked through several colors until she found the perfect... and I do mean PERFECT color and slab for my kitchen! I loved this material so much that I purchased 5 slabs and used it in my rental homes as well. Their install crew was marvelous; easy to communicate with, clean and tidy and super nice! Since my original install, I have used them 2 more times on other projects and have received the same great service. I recommend Seconds and Surplus and especially my coordinator (Michelle) for any granite installs. THANK YOU S&S FOR HAVING SUCH AN AMAZING TEAM!

Over the past couple of years we have remodeled our house. I have bought the majority of the materials at Seconds & Surplus, and I have had their recommended contractors do the labor for me. Throughout the process, the salesman has been the same and he has been more than helpful. Friendly staff and great prices!

Great place to find deals on higher-end building materials. I love browsing here on Saturday mornings and brainstorming projects. Currently in the process of buying some birch wood flooring from here, and they have a great selection and the lowest prices I've found in the area. Can't wait until I can do a front entry door swap and remodel my bathrooms, they looked like they had a lot of great choices for both!

Excellent customer service from start to finish. Sales people were very knowledgeable & sincerely cared that I found the exact wood flooring I was interested in purchasing. Everything was new & priced low. The process was very pleasant & enjoyable. The warehouse staff pulled my order & loaded me with a smile. The Grand Prairie store was very clean & well organized. They had several items I was not aware that they carried & high quality. This place is definately a well kept secret.

Their design center prepared the new cabinet installation, ordered the cabinets, and the tile department helped with the tile selection, as well as the grout and sealer needed.
